Windfarm is a varied concept
that brings the core idea of sustainability to life.
This team-building event combines two varied activities:
the construction of a wind turbine, taking into account the carbon footprint of the structure, and a tablet-based game with fun facts and challenges centred around the topic of sustainability. With the points scored, the teams offset their ecological footprint.
The team that ultimately has a functioning device with the best net carbon footprint is the winning team!
This is what our event looks like:
Our team of moderators will welcome you and talk about the background to this activity. We form teams and introduce the rules and the material.
Now it is up to the teams to distribute the tasks of the “Windfarm” project. This usually begins with the inspection of the material: tubes, joints, blades, ropes and much more!

Once various ideas have been discussed and a construction plan has been sketched out, it’s time to build the prototype. Will it be convincing?
The next step is optimisation: For every item the team uses, there is a specific cost to the carbon footprint. Can this be improved by replacing or removing material?

To improve the remaining footprint, the teams also collect points in our tablet-based Sustainability Game. Every point offsets CO²!
Then it’s time for the GRANDE FINALE: the teams present their “proof of concept” to everyone by demonstrating the wind turbine with our battery-powered leaf blower.
