Pure Water Project

Together for clean water

Around 703 million people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water—that’s nearly one in every ten people on our planet.

In rural areas of developing countries, people often have to walk for hours to reach unsafe water sources.

The consequences are severe: diseases spread more quickly, hunger and malnutrition worsen, and entire communities fall into a cycle of poverty and illness.

The not-your-average team event:

Knowledge creates awareness!
Our Pure Water Project begins with an inspiring presentation. Participants learn why water scarcity is much more than an environmental issue — it also affects education, health, and social development. Facts, figures, and moving stories make the topic tangible.

Teamwork with real impact

In small teams, participants build and design a durable water backpack with an integrated filtration system. After the event, these portable devices are distributed by our partner NGO in Burkina Faso to families in remote regions — providing them with clean water immediately and sustainably transforming lives.

Our approach:

Learn

Discover why water scarcity is not just an environmental concern, but also a challenge affecting education and health—and how innovative solutions can help.

Act

Together, you build water backpacks with built-in filters in smaller teams.

Help

You make a real contribution to improving health, education, and equal opportunities. This experience connects!

Clean water changes everything.

Health

Contaminated water leads to diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, and trachoma. Children are especially vulnerable — an estimated 1,000 children under five die every day due to polluted water and poor hygiene. Access to safe water significantly reduces disease and mortality rates and increases life expectancy.

Education

Many children, especially girls, must walk long distances to fetch water and therefore cannot attend school regularly. Having access to clean water nearby enables them to go to school and pursue their education — helping break the cycle of poverty in the long term.

Empowerment

In many regions, women bear the primary responsibility for collecting water. Easier access to clean water gives them time for work, education, and family — contributing to social empowerment.

Economy & Resilience

Clean water allows people to live healthier and more productive lives, and to start small businesses (e.g., in agriculture). This improves the economic situation of entire communities.

Reliable access to clean water also boosts a community’s resilience to droughts and humanitarian crises.

Full speed ahead to the goal!

Next, things really get going: either with an energy-packed quiz indoors or an outdoor challenge that demands skill, teamwork, and speed — all thematically centered around water.

Hands-On

In small teams, you will work together to build and design a water backpack with an integrated filtration system. This robust and portable system can provide families in remote areas with access to safe drinking water—right on site and ready for immediate use.
